Benefits of the USES^®
Universal Shunt Efficiency System

Sole source patented AC line conditioner manufactured in the US in use worldwide for over 28 years. Passive parallel connected magnetic field induction system. Resonance free, consumes no power, does not generate any heat or noise. Voltage specific and per UL testing generates a certain amount of kW.

Magnetic Phase Balancing

Magnetic phase balancing of voltage and current through our magnetic field induction system. The unit shunts high voltage waste into low voltage which increases the average voltage and current. This reduces waste and demand charges. In inductive loads, it also reduces internal “warble†vibration from unbalanced phases. Also reduces friction and heat which increases the life of motors.

Passive Resonance Free Power Factor Correction

Reduces demand for VAR (voltage amp reactance) or KVAR which is a non-power current that creates the magnetic field necessary for inductive loads (reactive power). USES provides that magnetic field in a resonance free manner by inducing KVAR into conductors through magnetic chokes making a resonance free connection. This is non-capacitive which makes our products compatible with VFDs, DC drives and all control systems without interference.

Harmonic Filtration

Harmonics are non-power wave form distorting current which take up space in your electrical system, cause poor power quality and generate heat as they travel throughout the facility. We mitigate the lower more disruptive harmonics thereby reducing billed kWh due to the utilities multitier billing system and default power factor billing penalties.

Surge Protection

Through a set of self-healing magnetic chokes, we absorb transient voltage surges and spikes above the operational voltage. Instead of going to ground or a heat sink we reconstitute it internally and shunt it back to the panel through our phase balancing chokes as usable safe power. These loses are inherent in any distribution circuit. We also employ metal oxide varistors as a form of high voltage multiple lightning strike protection.

Power Generation

USES generates usable voltage and wattage from the magnetic field through our proprietary chokes from the AC current and voltage provided by the power company at 60 cycles per second. This AC current cycles back and forth through our chokes thereby generating power. USES is listed on the GSA schedule under “alternative energy solutionsâ€. Because of this power generation we provide stand by power for several cycles.

USES units are parallel connected through circuit breakers or fused disconnects.
